Double clicking on a figure, nothing happens?

Double clicking on a figure, nothing happens?
This was something I could always depend on for quick access to various body parts and would be auto selected in the Scene tab. Now no matter what I do double clicking does nothing.
Is there a setting for this that may have been turned off by accident?
