Is there a way to rearrange what's in "Smart Content?"

So, here's the issue. Afte reinstalling Daz Studio and then re-downloading my content using DIM, its literally all over the place, I'd say 80% is in the right place, but then the rest isn't. Warddrobes/outfits are under poses, figures are under utilities, and so on. You get the idea. I understand that some products might contain both warddrobes and poses, for example, but I"m seeing things like outfits only going in the wrong place. I'd like to be able to manually specify where these misplaced items should go in Smart Content. Is there a way to do so?

Are you looking at Product view or File view? It sounds like you are on Product view. Easiest thing might be to switch to File view, as that will limit what you see.

 

You can re-categorize, but that's an arduous task.

I won't say that Smart Content can't be rearranged because Daz Studio may allow you assign meta data to objects which Smart Content uses.

On the other hand I personally do not use Smart Content. I custom organise my content library.

This is a comment I made demonstrating how I customized my cotent library. Allow this thread to get you start but read other threads before and after it to get whole context of what is going on. In about 15 to 30 minutes reading this thread you should have a great idea as to how to start with your own content library. I have screen shots too in my comments.

Organizing your content can be alot of work like evilded says but I find that all the work is rewarding. Once its done you will be much happier accessing all your content easily.
