Materials Aren't Working Right For Victoria 7

I just purchased the Victoria 7 Bundle, mainly because the price was at a low that I wasn't likely to see again anytime soon. But while I can get it to change shapes the way it should, something's up with the materials. Whenever I try to apply materials, DAZ asks if I want to say, and when I say no, it refuses to do anything. I don't know if this is a problem with DAZ 4.9 (which I just upgraded to) or something else, but I am not happy with this development.

    What exactly is the message you are getting? Ah, do you mean save? That sounds as if the file you are trying to open is a scene rather than a preset - exactly what, and where, is the item you are double-clicking?

    Oh, I see. So I have to right-click "Merge into scene" instead of just opening, huh?

    Yes, if it's a scene - but a materials preset shouldn't be a scene file so something odd is going on. Hence asking exactly which file you are double-clicking, and where it is.
