Change email address in DIM installer

I want to chanage my DAZ Install Manager user name.  The one I have now is going to become unavailable to me and I need to change it as this is how I install my products.

I toyed with adding a new account but that didn't work.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

You cannot edit the account in use in DIM, but you can create a dummy account with no real service, just a valid format (could be [email protected], as long as it looks like a real e-mail address) to edit another account. However, you will need to change it for DAZ3D to keep your products. I have only read about people having problems, not success stories. It sounds like it should be straightforward, but just make sure to do it before you lose the old address.

I have read the stories too and  not encouraging.

Will give it a try see what happens.

    Thanks.

Anyone have any idea how to keep my links to my postings in the forum too?

I had to change my email address last year. There is a help centre article on how to do it HERE

First, I raised a support ticket to ask the team to change the email address on my account. I stated my current (old) email address and the new one to which I wanted it changed and my billing details (address) as detailed in that help article.

I was lucky (maybe) that it was done within about two hours (I made sure to raise the request during Daz office hours on a weekday).

Once that is done then you just need to login with the new email address and your access to the store, your account and the forums should all work fine. The only thing you will lose is access to any old support requests (including the one you just raised to change email) - I made sure to screenshot my support request history because I like to have a record of that sort of thing. I'm not sure what happens to any currently open requests, because I didn't have any.

Then you can make the change to DIM as NorthOf45 said.

You should have no trouble changing your site/account email, the problem is DIM-side - you cannot edit the active account, so create a new one (with the same settings so it sees everything you have already downloaded and installed).

Oh, one thing I forgot: I stopped getting store newsletters when my email address changed. It took another suport request and almost a week to get that sorted, but it all got done in the end.
