Aging Morphs for G8F causing missing genesis3female.dsf

Hi there,

I'm having a little problem with the Aging Morphs G8F from Zev0.
As soon as I open anything, DAZ gives me the error message in the attachment.
Everything works as soon as I click away the window, but I still wanted to ask what I could do as it's a bit annoying.

Thanks a lot! :)

That sounds a bit odd. G8F morphs should not activate the G3F. I have just tried loading up the base G8F and adding the aging morphs and it seemed to work fine. You may have to explain a bit more about what you are doing to trigger that error.

I assume that you have Genesis 3 Starter Essentials installed correctly. Do you install via Daz Install Manager or are you using Daz Connect at all (i.e. did you log into your account within Daz Studio) and if so do you install ALL your content that way?

  • Oh, this is embarrassing, but it looks like the problem was that I didn't have Genesis 3 installed.
I still don't know why the error message came up, since I used Genesis 8 characters and it worked.

Anyway, thanks for your help, and maybe someone else will be as stupid as me and come across this thread :D

Basically one (or more) DSF file(s) has the "Parent" set to G3F rather than G8F, if you don't have G3F installed then you get a message and errors in the log as well as a "broken" product. If you have G3F installed then you get errors in the log as well as a "broken" product.

What do I mean by "broken", when you have a bad parent in a DSF file then DS refuses to load it, this means that any other DSF files that have Formula links to that file don't work right either.

Get onto Customer Support and complain about it.

You can also ask @Zev0 in the commercial thread for the product:
