Morphing

Hello everybody,

I am interested in trying to build my own characters for my animations, and in an attempt to animate lip sync i duplicated the character's head, and then changed it to the necessary position. After i did that i applied the morpher modifier to the main face. The idea was to have all the morpher modifier change the original face, kind of like the characters you can buy,in which you can control each part of the body separately.

After finishing two poses, i applied the modifier on the original face and i discovered that i can't have two morpher modifier existing simultaneously. when i applied the the second modifier, even upon zeroing the second modifier, the first modifier would work what so ever...

What can i do about it? and if it is a dead end, how can i still animate facial expression???

    Greetings,

I'm a little unclear on the issue, but I may be able to help. You actually can have two morph modifiers existing, but they must have different identifications. Morphs can be difficult to wrap your head around at first. Some morphs only function when another morph is triggered (dialed up). It sounds like you created a morph that depends on another morph. These are, I believe, called MCMs (Morph Controlled Morphs). Thus, if you dial in your second morph, but zero out your first morph, nothing will happen.

Lets make sure this is the issue before I give advice.
