How to create old mans thin hair from scratch?

I want to be able to generate an old man in either michael or genesis with thin grey hair almost balding.
How could I go about this?

I am NEW very new to this and have bought about 200 uk pounds on stuff to get me started and I want to try and model someone like my father as an ideal model as i've loads of pictures of him.
Not for publication mind, that would infringe his rights, but to see if it is physically possible to create something realistic.

Creating a hair model is not a simple task, and requires a knowledge of 3D modelling, and the use of a suitable package like Hexagon for example.

The Daz Aged for M4 works just fine on genesis, the aging is done with displacement maps and you can use M4 maps on genesis. I've done it with my last genesis render.
