Coordinate Daz between two Macs

I recently got a new iMac at work and I still have my previous Macbook Pro. I would like to put my Daz content on an external hard drive that I can use with either computer as appropriate to my physical location at the time.

I know how to use a content directory structure on the external drive. However, there still seem to be some files stored on each computer’s internal hard drive, and the cluster directory is on each computer’s internal hard drive.

Can I set things up so that everything is on the external hard drive and the two computers have functionally identical installations of Daz content? If so, how? If not, is there a better way to coordinate the two computers?

Technically if you don't own the Work Mac you CAN NOT legally share your content between them; however if you do own it make sure you have a single destination of mapping of content between the two macs or that your external drive is the top mapped destination in the list.

    Daz Studio>Preferences
Content Library tab, go to Content Directory Manager... and map to the drive.

however some key things will need to be shared on the applications folder level of the mac such as the Studio App, any plug-ins and scripts, AFAICT.

Keep in mind most external HD's outside of USB 3 or TB1/2 will result in a huge performance loss on loading, saving and browsing content, the throughput can be miserable.
