...aww geez,
He had both a very successful music and acting career. his biggest role starring in the 1970s remake of A Star Is Born opposite Barbara Streisand which won several awards including an Oscar for best original song (Evergreen) and 5 Golden Globes including best picture (Musical or Comedy)
In the 1980s He founded the Highwaymen bringing together three great country legends: Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and Johnny Cash.,
"I'm feelin' near as faded as my jeans," and "make believe you love me one more time," were two of my favourite lines of his (and there were many).
* from "Me & Bobby McGee" and "For the Good Times," respectively
RIP :(
I knew him mostly for his acting in movies like Blade and Knights.
RIP
Condolences. I remember him from the song "Why me? (Lord Help Me Jesus)" that was on pop radio heavy in the early 70s. It was an eclectic mix on radio back then. 'Me & Bobby McGee" I only knew as a Janis Joplin song, I found out he wrote it much later.
Oh, sad again... My condolences. RIP Kris ~
The Washington Post had a deep article covering his life today. Rhodes scholar at Oxford, an Army helicopter pilot, working as a janitor to get a break in Nashville, ... then what we know from his public life. What a gift to the world.
Such a sad loss, loved his music and his film characters.
Highly underrated as an actor. I thought he did a terrific job in Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid.

So very sorry to hear of Mr. Kristofferson's passing.. Prays and blessings to his family and friends.
He was the most wonderful 'Bad Guy' in the movie Payback (1999).
His was a remarkable talent and life.
