Problems with ordering from the site........

I have been having problems ordering from the website as of late. I get the stuff I want, put it in the shopping cart and it says the stuff is in the, but when I try and go to check out, it says my cart is empty. Tried to clear cache, deleted my history and restarted to clear memory to no avail. Happens even if I have logged in already or not. Anyone else getting this? And if so, has anyone solved it? Happens to me on IE and FireFox.

    This happens sometimes when you have added an item at a time where you were not logged in, or not properly logged in because of a store glitch. The usual fix is this:

    1) log out then log in again, to be sure that you are properly authenticated

    2) once you've done that, add another item to the cart, and then go to the cart page: both items should appear now, and you can remove the one you added to "fix" things.
