These are so beautiful. I definitely encourage anyone who didn't get these last year to grab them, they are lovely!
I know they're from last year, but these Christmas/Holiday modelled Words and phrases are a gift as well. There's a 2017 in there somewhere too. Peace.
Hope your New Year's Day was everything you wanted, and looking forward to your products in 2018! :)
Happy New Year! I hope we see more FirstBastion sets this year, too. :)
today
Hmm?
I asked this before, but I think the question got lost in the shuffle - what happened to the Fire Station?
I think he's meaning it's in today's related items promo.
Ah, okay. Thanks. :)
There was a question in the nut and bolts section about the Shopping Mall, if it was updated for Iray, which it has not been, so I'm adding the info here as well, simply cause people might be interested and put it to use.
Though I did test the shopping mall out just now straight out of the box. The default glossiness typical with iray works well with the interior.
First render is a straight load from smart content, and went into the scene tree and removed the included Bastion skydome in the worlds folder. All default DazStudio render setting, with ground off,
The second Render, used some of the default Uber Iray shaders that ship with DazStudio. Used Magnesium Alloy on the metal rafters and light poles. Used a 60watt real Iray light shader for the glass bulbs, and applied the frosted glass shader on the skylight. Red Car paint on the sign.
Both these images rendered for 300 iterations, but gives the idea how the set will render in Iray.
Hope that helps.
I swear you were at the mall we all worked and hung out at as teenagers. Which sadly, has been torn down now as of last year.
Another old product how does it look in iray question. This time Breaking Waves
Took the breaking waves.daz file and applied the iray uber shader dispersive water to it, then re applied the breaking texture that comes with the set to the diffue channel and bunp channel, and set the bump at 4, and darkened the diffuse color to a navy blue.
Took the beach scene from Iray Outdoor Environments and used it as a HDRI , set spere to infinite, since that shot is taken from the beach there is alot of bright colored beach sand under the breaking waves prop, so it messes witht he color, To deal with that. I made a 20m square primitive plane and raised it a few centimeters above the ground and set the diffuse color to dark blue. Rotated the hdri dome to 330 degrees and rendered.
And if you adjust the color of the plane it adjusts the water color
Fillerup
What's this? a new product in the store? Not a particularly high demand type of set, but a collection of vignettes that were sitting on my desktop. Some interesting mirrored effects. A little physic bending is a kind of cool effect.

That looks cool.
I have to apologize I posted this to the old thread instead of the newer one. Sorry for the mistake. I'm not spamming.
