GEN-3 SKINTONE

dash2128dash2128 Posts: 690

I'VE BEEN USING GENESIS-3 LATELY, BUT THE G-3 FEMALE SKIN TONE IS BRIGHT AND...NOT SO NICE TO LOOK AT.

GEN and GEN-2 are fine.(In this pic, they look a little dark, but they remder with a natural tone/)

I purchced some skin tones, but they don't change G-3's skin at all.

I want a tanned, or no-bright look.

Gen-3 skin reflects light like a light-bright.

Any suggestions.

This looks like 3dl, are you using the 3dl shaders? What's your lighting setup?

    Has that actually been rendered?

That looks like a pre-render screenshot.

    Actually, I thiink you're right.

That is a screenshot off my older computer.

I will render it through my 4.8 system, and see if the tone is different.

I've been setting up scenes and scripts on my older computer, which runs 4.6, to save time, while I work on the new one.

I may have gotten confused.  I need to get my lighting arrangements in order,

Buit shouldn't I be able to get a proper skin tone prior to rendering?

Gen-2 usually doesn;t look so dark, actually.

The viewport can be very misleading, especially if the skin uses sss and translucency. I'd say do a few renders with different light setups before passing judgement.

Funny, the skin does render okay.

You might like to see what I did to the image while trying to change it.

    I'll follow your suggestions, thanks.
