So The New Toon Canvas Option.

So tried out the new toon canvas option in the latest Daz Studio release and it looks very cool, and even worked out how to fix the issue with getting solid white eyes on Genesis 3 and 8. The issue now is lighting, been so use to getting the lighting I want in Iray, I can't get with the Toon canvas option. Is there any tutorial on how to use this new option properly, as would love to use it but not sure how to go about it. Any helpp would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Could you explain how you got any sort of result using the Toon Canvas? I tried a few times and only got solid white renders. Thanks very much.

     

    edit: I did get...something, using Rob's explanation of the Toon Canvas in this main forum. So the end result is basically the same as Cartoon Shaded mode? :sigh:

    Pretty much hit and miss for me, I got some sort of result when I added in environment lighting and it sort of tooned to how I wanted it, but had issues elsewhere with trying to get emissives to work. To be honest not sure how this canvasses system really works even with watching older pre toon canvasses tutorial videos on the subject. smiley
