Fabricator Gloss Setting

When a fabric shader is too glossy, I usually select Gloss, and set it at black.  This (Fabricator shader/texture) has no Gloss setting that I can detect, and when I add a Diffuse color tone, it remains too Glossy.

Is there a setting that will make this less Glossy, or do I have to render it that way?

(I like to tone down the Gloss, before I consider a render.)

The Fabricator shader presets are pretty old (2011?) and were made for 3Delight rendering, so the parameters are qute a bit different from Iray.

Are you planning to render in 3Delight or Iray?

If the latter then you may be able to convert the shader to Iray base (keeping the maps) and have more parameters to play with.

    Thanks for replying!

I'm probably using 3Delight.  But I'm wondering if I can make it less glossy, BEFORE rendering.  Didn't know it was that old, however.

    Oh, I figured something out!

I changed from Matte to Skin, and then blackened the Specular color.

Thank you for letting me know how old that was!  I remember liking this product's fabric options, but giving up on it, because of the Gloss issue.  Glad I stumbled on it again, and figured out a way to make it work!

Yes, I thank you.  I picked this product up a LONG time ago.  Wasn't able to use it the way I wanted, until I figured out this little trick.
