As of Nov 1 2024, on install of the "dForce Strand-Based Classic Bob 2 Hair for Genesis 9 and 8 Female" product by outoftouch, I find no G8 or G8.1 Female specific files. The hair wearable located in the install directory under Genesis 9 does not autofit to G8 or G8.1, it requires clone conversion (as to be expected since it's G9 specific). Looking at the install manifiest in DIM, there are no G8 specific files in the installer.

Has anyone else run into this? Hopefully this is just an error on outoftouch's part and not false advertising. I have already submitted a support ticket with DAZ.

I own it and have installed the G8 files, but looking at the dim file in my product library, the G8 files are gone now. I'm not sure how they've managed to remove them.

I thought there were G8 files on my original install (which I did several days ago) as well. Today there was an update to the product in my DIM. After I installed the update, there are no G8 files at all. I'm thinking it was a bad product update.

    We will ask about this.

  • I am also having this same issue with the Classic Bob Hair 2. I went to load a character that I had it saved on and all morphs and everything were "missing". I uninstalled the product in DIM, then reinstalled it. Nothing. Not fixed.

  • Hey everyone! New update available for this product (November 2nd). Hopefully it is fixed.  :D

  • G8 Files are still missing, sadly. Tried a new load of the hair in case the old save files were calling for a different path. Even after the update, the files are just gone. However, it has fixed the product not showing up in Smart Content issue, the product just fails to load.  :/

  • New Update November 4th, the G8 Files are back. It seems to be fixed.

Yes, the G8 files have returned. Thanks to all who corrected this issue!
