Is there a way to add emission to Gen 9 PBR skin shaders?

Why was emission removed? Didn't Gen 8 Iray have emissive properties with skin textures?

I tried adding a geometry shell to Genesis 9 (and the eyes) then I added uber base shaders and then I added the Gen 9 maps to the shell.

This gave me emissive properties to the shell but the shell obstructed the skin underneath it. I used cutout opacity but it was not quite the same...

There must be a way to simply add emissive properties to Genesis 9 PBR surfaces?

I was wondering if there is a way to add emissive to PBR skin surfaces in the shader mixer?

If there is a detailed thread on this, if so, please link me to it. Thanks in advance! smiley

This image is a study in advanced lighting emissive surfaces.

A dense VDB surrounds the figure and the candle, stand and flame.

The Gen 9 figure has a geometry shell applied to the skin surfaces and eyes. The candle and stand have emissive properties so the figure and candle are "self-illuminating". There are no other lights in the scene other than a spotlight set under the floor plane that has no effect on the scene (to shut off the camera light). Environment settings are, scene only and black backdrop.

Emission and some other properties were removed from the PBRSkin shader because they weren't physically accurate to skin. PBRSkin Plus adds them back.
