New PC and rendering time Iray

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Hi,

I am getting a new pc and was wondering what these specs would get me in terms of rendering time (HD renders).

I realize this depends massively on the size of the scene but any estimates would be great.

I7 6700

GTX 970 gaming 4bg

16 gb ram 2400mhz

Asus z170 pro gaming

Once again, any estimates would be great.

    As far as I know (with my limited knowlege) the render time has not so much to do with the size but more with the used materials and lighting. You can render a very big picture with simple materials and basic lighting very fast while a small picture with many glass and many lights (like a bar scene) would take whole day to render.
