How big is too big? Content DB over 300 GB

Is there a way to optimize the content Database? It's taking up 322 GB!! I can't imagine why it would be so huge. Is postgreSql usually insanely huge?

I've been wondering why everything loads so slowly. I suspect this is the reason.

    My cms folder and everything under it is less than 10 GB, and I got a lot of stuff, including custom categories for everything. Try "Content Database Maintenance" -> "Condense Database"

    Found it. In the context menu of the Content Library panel.

    The size of cms cluster folder shouldn't affect the loading speed of Daz assets. Besides, 322 GB sounds pretty odd to me... OP you usually from time to time install / uninstall products as well as re-import metadata in high frequency, with multiple locations of Daz Libraries ?

    The size of my cluster folder never exceeds 10 GB since I used DS from 2018... though I have 27K installed products in Smart Content.
