Epic Battle Render Contest!

Render any image that follows the theme "fight" and uses one or more of Saturday's (11/16/2024) featured new releases in it.

Starting date: Saturday, November 16th, 2024
Closing date: Tuesday, November 19th, 2024 (Midnight MST)

How to Enter:

•Please post in this forum thread and include either your image, or a link to your image in the galleries. Your forum post must also list which of the featured new release(s) were used in your render.
•Winners will be announced by Thursday, Nov 21st, 2024

Rules and Requirements:

•Image must contain one or more of the "Battle" New Releases
•Enter as many times as you wish.
•The winners will be announced in this thread.
•Post-work is allowed
•AI imagery (inc AI post-processing) is not allowed
•Images can be rendered in whatever program/renderer you wish.
•Images have to be created for this contest, and not entered in any other/previous challenge/contest.

Note: All images in the gallery are copyrighted and owned by the artist.

Please ensure the images posted adhere to the TOS.

Images may be displayed elsewhere but aren't allowed to be cross-posted in any other Daz contests.
 

Prizes:

Three (3) winners will be picked by the Daz team. 

Winners will each receive one of the following prizes depending on how many eligible items are used:

$50 Store Credit - If 1 "Battle" New Release is used
$100 Store Credit - If 2 "Battle" New Releases are used
$300 Store Credit - If 3+ "Battle" New Releases are used

    Hey, very interesting contest.
    One question … by purchasing the Bad Santa Bundle – does that count as three New Releases being used?

    Just wondering ;-)

    Yes, makes sense :) 

    Actually, I misread the post - sorry.

    I think the spirit of the contest is to support more artists, so on reflection that bundle would probably just count as one item.  If you want to purchase the items individually to count as 'multiples', then go for it.

    Speaking from the Daz+ weekly contests, some of the best and most imaginative entries have been from people using a weird mix of products to create a great render - and I think that's the intention here too.

     Z Mixed Martial Arts Pose Mega Set for Genesis 9 and 8 Female

    I used Photoshop to adjust the brightness and hue.

    Hey all, here is my entry for this contest. My work title is: "Battle of the Death Queen:Fight for the fallen" It was Rendered in Daz Studio.

    STORY: Akki, being one of the youngest of the sisterhood of the 5 fragments; was eager to win the honor of the other 4 sisters by any means necessary. With this foolhearted mindset directing her actions she set out alone to  bring down the queen of death once and for all. Being significantly underpowered and ill prepared for the battle to come; the queen of death slolwly tortured her to the brink of death. Realizing their foolhearted companion was no longer in their midst; two of the strongest sisters came to Akki's Aide. 

    Qualifying Products Used are:

    It was a simple mission, they said. Just go in, take care of a malfuctioning Santa who'd gotten a little handsy with some of the tech crew, then get out before Amaget opened up their Christmas village for the season. Once she was done, Josephine would have plenty of money to cross a few names off her gift list. Of course, Santa has some thoughts about what he'll put up with from naughty little troubleshooters! Fortunately, Zomboy is the best boy, and more then willing to show that even dead dogs can still teach a few tricks!

    I have a few questions? My first Question is does it have to be renders? instead of a render could I use software like UE5 or Iclone 5 to make a short animated film? 2nd if not an animated, what about a comic dub. Where I make a couple of renders in a comic format,put a voiceover and record the whole thing as a video. 3rd you said no AI when it comes to Images and post processing. Does also applies to voice acting,sounds,rigging,etc....

    Window glass of the original removed with Geometry Editor and replaced by primitive planes to give the space to add the shattered window.

    What is the complete list of assets that are "battle" assets? I've purchase a couple and they no longer show up in the shop as part of the list. But I purchased other things at the same time so I have no idea which ones are "required".

    Long time Daz member, first time (that I remember) competition entrant. Sadly, the creative juices weren't flowing as freely as I'd like them to, so this will probably be my only entry.

    This work is called "The Protector" and I used the MKTG Ghost Bride Outfit.

    I also used:

    Orestes Iray HDRI Skydomes - Starry Night
    DD PBR Metal Panel Shaders for Iray Vol 1
    Cybernetics Iray Shaders on a couple of sphere primitives

    I want to uplad two of them! I used the Z Mixed Martial Arts Pose Mega Set for Genesis 9 and 8 Female. I love creating fight scenes.
