Discount durations

I have been shopping here a while but just sort of ignore all the math. I typically just buy what I want if the price is right, but the advent of coupons and the timing of the price increases following a New item means I should force myself to pay more attention so I have a FAQ style question on a typical, non-special event DAZ 3D day, if you don't mind please?

Example Shopping Cart Scenarios:

e.g.: Buzzed Anime Hair Collection for Genesis 9 Toon | Daz 3D

I have a Premier subscription.

30% Discount yesterday.

30% Discount today

How many more days will the introductory 30% off last?

If I add a 2nd New product, the discount for both items in the cart increases to 51%.

e.g. PFA Eclipse Flow Hair For Genesis 9 | Daz 3D

Also, with one New item the discount on a PA's product library is 50%. With two New items the discount on the PA product library increases to 65%

e.g. Trollies Dollies and Carts | Daz 3D

I have 8 DAZ+ Tokens I can add to my discount to add up to a additional 45% off my cart. The DAZ Store say the tokens have 5 days and 13 hours before they expire.

Questions please:

1) How many days, including introduction day, are the new PA products going to have before the 30% discount (51% if two or more New products are in the cart) are reduced or eliminated?

2) How many days, including introduction day, are the relevant new PA's product libraries' products going to be reduced by 50% (65% if two or more New products are in the cart) is reduced or eliminated?

3) On the right of the checkout page, I can only apply 8 DAZ+ Tokens to my cart, however, the information block on the left of the checkout page claims I have 14 DAZ+ Tokens available. Are 8 DAZ+ Tokens always the maximum number of tokens I can apply to a cart?

4) Where can I see how much longer the other 6 DAZ+ Tokens have before they expire?

5) Where can I see a list of DAZ+ Tokens I have separated by their expiration dates: e.g. I have 14, 5 expire in 3 days, 2 expire in 5 days, 6 expire in 8 days, 1 expires in 13 hours?

Thanks.

  • GHeernally speaking the base discount (usually 30%) lasts for two weeks.

Any additional discounts may be that day only, or may last for a couple of days, or soemtimes may last for a up to week -- unless we are told on the product page (as with Debut/Still new in the PA and anniversary sales) we don't know how long.

Token expiry is currently not correct, for some reason they are all saying 20th November - Daz is aware, and the tokens should last for two weeks from the point at which they were earned. Yes, eight is the most that can be applied to a cart. If it weren't for the bug you could hover the mouse over the i next to the note of when the oldest tokenm is due to expire to get a list of how many expire when; I am not aware of a way to get a static list on a page separate from the cart.

Thanks, so apparently I have 6 tokens besides the 8 I can add to my cart.

If you click on the (i) it will show the proper dates

Edit: I think I misread it yesterday.

    OK, thanks,

As I just spent 8 DAZ+ Tokens (that didn't give me a full 45% discount, I guess because two of the items in the cart are New item), it now shows, because I was awarded 4 DAZ+ Tokens from that purchase, that I have 10 DAZ+ Tokens available that all expire on November 20th, apparently at 0700 Greenwich Mean Time. The way I see it, I should have the 4 new DAZ+ Tokens with a newer expiration date than the remaining 6 DAZ+ Tokens I was awarded on prior purchases.

I'll likely not spend much more in November but I would like to figure out the DAZ+ Token thing. It seems inconsistant. Can they be used to discount gift certificate discounts? I know that can't be applied to DAZ+ or DAZ Premier subscription fees.

I just remembered they can't be used for Gift Certificate discounts either. So I just hope they improve the function of the DAZ+ Tokens to accuately reflect their earning, discount, and duration that they promise.

Often, on using these DAZ+ Tokens on carts I don't get the full 45% or whatever discount percent the cart is saying "up to" about, I would like the cart to give me an informational statement as to each of the reasons why the DAZ Store POS code is not allowing the full percentage discount, lol, so I can complain.

Tokens do apply to New Releases, but 45% off with 8 tokens is for Daz Originals. Non-Daz Originals get only 30% off as it's is explained on the Tokens page (also accessible via link "what's this?" in the token section of your cart). Also, at times, some other promotions (like "buy 3 items for $3.99") might have restrictions saying "does not stack with other promotions" which would exclude tokens. When you look at tokens applying then, you do not look at the whole cart (unless it's entirely built out of DOs or non-DOs), but whether individual items discounted properly.

At the moment, there is a well-known issues with tokens not having a correct expiration date. It's been like that since Sunday, and though mods said they reported it, we haven't heard anything back yet. The best place to get any information about ongoing issues with any sales (tokens, discounts, promo codes, etc.) is the current Sales Reporting Thread. Not only users report any issues there, but often offer a solution as well ("Promotion X doesn't work on item Y, because they forgot to exclude Daz+ items from it" or "You have to use coupon code Y to get the Z discount").

Great, thanks very much for the DAZ+ Token's "what's this" link, I complete missed it.

I'm all set, as soon as DAZ fixes the DAZ+ Tokens expiration dates, I'm fine.
