This is a set of candle flames for Jack Tomalin's Dubious Hallway model.

https://www.daz3d.com/dubious-hallway

.... which is now a Daz freebie, since mid November 2024.

The model's download does contain candle flames already, but:

1. the included flames do not appear in Daz Studio's content management system (at least on MY system).

and

2. they are really dim and probably meant for 3Delight renders only, or some other whatever...

So here's some IRay candle flames to bypass all those problems.

The flames are just simple 6-sided boxes that emit light.

There is one "master" flame, and 21 instances parented to that master flame. When you change the brightness and color properties of the master flame, the instances will likewise be changed.

The flames are positioned where they need to be when using the full scene, and load in by means of a scene subset file.

So, load in the Dubious Hallway full scene, called "!Pre_All". Do not move or scale the hall model (yet). Then load in these candle flames. Now you can parent the candle flames to the hallway and move/scale the hallway as you please.

If you use fewer of the hallway parts instead of the whole !Pre_All set, then you can delete any irrelevant candle flame instances. But you will have to keep the master flame in the scene, even if it ends up floating around out of the camera views.

My promo renders also involve adapting the surface materials to IRay. Most of that is by means of:

(Link in the readme file.)

Path to the flames is:

It was strange that the description was not complete, anyway I will try that when I have time and see how it goes cheeky
