UV maps from Hexagon to Daz??

I am learning Hexagon and right now I am doing UV maps practice. I made a simple cube with an UV map that gives different colors for each face of the cube.

I am trying to port it into Daz.

So far I have loaded the cube itself into daz, by importing.

The problem is that whenever I load the .obj file into Daz, itrenders as a "white figure", and I can't figure out how to load the UV patterns.

the Edit > Object/figure > load UV set has allowed me to load the figure's .obj export from hexagon, and it shows in the "surfaces > geometry > UV Maps" pane, but so far changing it to the uploaded items does nothing.

What piece of the puzzle am I missing?

Attached a screencap of what I'm getting, in case it helps.

  • Have you actually a plied a map? E.g. by draging from a folder onto the Base Colour property in the Surfaces pane. There is also a UV Drawstyle for the Viewport, which by default shows the selected object(s)'s selected surface(s) - that's the button next to the camera/view picker in the top-right corner by default,  although in the UV View the cotnrols are docked at the top and the switched are then on the left.
