First I was using 4.5, then I went to 4.7.

Can anyone tell me where the animation render settings are? It doesn't look like this tutorial anymore. Is there a new set of tutorials that works with 4.9?

Does anyone know that some of the video links in the software to 4.9 tutorials are broken with 404 pages?

  • The option to render still frames or animation should be in the General group in Render Settings' Editor tab. The other thing that people often ask about is the qualitry/speed slider - you choose different Render Engine options at the top of the Editor or Advanced tabs in render Settinsg for that (3Delight is the top quality, the others are OpenGL for intermedaite or Basic OpenGL for the fastest position of the slider).

I believe this is the render settings window. It dosent look familiar but, it is what appeared when I selected it from the render menu. I don't see anything that allows me to render animations. Maybe I am I looking at it but just not seeing it. Would you be so kind as to help me find it?

If you click on "General" about the 5th item down is "Render Type", which can be set to Still Image, Image Series, or Movie.

    Thanks, I found it.

I would really like to know why it was iimportant to bury this feature in an "animation" applicaiton, or what the designers thought was wrong with where it was? I invesrted a lot of hours learning the software and creating a work flow. I just spent a lot of money on a computer that has enough guts to make all of that work finally worth it. Now I have to start the learning curve again. I feel like my sand castle has been kicked.

That said. Thanks for being there to ease the pain.
