I'm trying to install Photoshop 3D Bridge ... What's the correct path???

  • I'm trying to install Photoshop 3D Bridge so I can use it in Photoshop,  and I can't seem to find the correct path that is asking  for!!   Can anyone help with this? I've checked tutorials but they're not addressing that issue.
  • Please help so I can do this right away
  • This is the message I get Indian store manager
  • Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "Photoshop 3D Bridge for DAZ Studio 4.9+ (Mac 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Photoshop CC, CS6, CS5, CS4 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.

Click the gear (settings) in the upper right corner, click on Applications, click the + in the lower left to add an application, choose "Photoshop", select the bit depth and version, and the path to the photoshop application.

  • Wow thank you so much that's excellent!!      I'll give that a try,... Thank you so much for the help Fixmypcmike  really appreciate it!! If I have any problems I'll get back to you! !hehehe  thanks again my friend!! Cheers!! :D

  • Well I another window came up that says.. "

The folder specified contains files that were not installed by Install Manager.  It is strongly recommended that an empty folder, or a folder previously managed by Install Manager, be selected.

    Add anyway or cancel?

It's not required that you use a separate content folder for items installed by DIM, but it's recommended to make sure that DIM knows everything there is something that it installed so that it can correctly update or uninstall them.

  • So I think I had to add the 64-bit first and then click on the gear,.. Or just click accept,.. Because it seems it has as"current"  >. And has the Daz recommended daz studio Poser content folder,...? so I'm a little confused.... I just noticed it says 3D  bridge for Daz studio 4.9....  I have 4.8

  • Yeah  okay that's good to know,.... I think I should be downloaded 4.9,... As it shown above " in the window ready to install"  that it was trying to install, but said install failed....  So that might be another issue to,  and better upgrade.

Okay thank you so much again I really do appreciate it!!

  • I'm trying to download 4.9,... But now it keeps saying "would you like to save your existing filter" I don't know what filter they mean or what to put in the window field... When I cancel it it doesn't download.... I don't know what to do.

Any thoughts on it... Thank you

  • In the save filter window..... There's a place for menu path to answer.... And filter name... So I don't know what to put in there...

  • Think I got it.... My shared  /Uers Daz 3-D library..... And then filter I suppose Photoshop

  • Hey Fixmypcmike I think I got it all installed..... Thanks again mi amigo  really appreciate it .. You were a  really big help Cheers happy dazzling Glenn :)

    Hi All,

    I've just installed DAZ3D 4.9 and also have Photoshop CC 2015 installed. I am having the same problem as OP. I can locate the file path for Photoshop within the 'Insall Manager' settings, however I continue to receive the same error message;

    • "Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "Photoshop 3D Bridge for DAZ Studio 4.9+ (Win 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "DAZ Studio 4.5 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again"

I read the DAZ online install guide http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/6952/start and changed the settings in the 'Install Manager' to reflect the guide's advice to locate Photoshop's plugin folder: C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop 2015/plug-ins

This didn't work. I continue to get the same error message "install manager cannot find  a required path. ..."

I then changed the folder name to .../Adobe Photoshop 2015 as recommended by Fixmypcmike above, and I continue to receive the same error message.

I have attached screen shots of my the settings and hope someone can help me connect 3D Bridge.

    Thx

    SonicX

  • Would you believe after 1 hour trying all the probable varitations in the settings area, and closing and reopening the Install Manager, all I had to do was

1 - Leave the file path as .../Photoshop CC 2015

2 - close all relevant applications; eg close DAZ3D, Photoshop CC 2015 and the Install Manager.

3 - Open Install Manager Only

4 - Change the 'bullet' in the 'Installations' tab to "Install to Selected Path".

5 - check the 'Applications' Tab to make sure the two paths are showing eg one for DAZ3d and one for Photoshop

    6 - Click 'accept'

Success! I've attached a screen shot of my settings which were finally successful only after closing all applications and reopening them.

    Good Luck.
