Daz-to-Blender: Can't get strand-based hair to show up in Blender

Hi,
playing with the Daz-to-Blender bridge. For the character, it is working quite nicely. However, when I try to export with strand-based hair, I have less success. I do see:
- the hair cap
- a set of materials, although the materials are all white and have none of the colors or textures I see in the hair shaders in Daz
I do not see anything resembling hair strands, although I have seen this work in other tutorial videos. What am I missing?
In my experiment, I am using g9 with an OOT strand-based hair.
Thanks so much for your help.

Daz-to-Blender uses FBX format, and until very recently, DS couldn't export hair curves as FBX. It may still only work in the beta, I don't remember for certain. What you want to do is set the hair's viewport tesselation sides to 0 (I do 1for render tesselation, but I've never worked out whether that actually matters). Depending on what you plan to do with it in Blender, most PAs offer different resolutions of SBH: for the full, render-time hairstyle, leave PR hairs on, or turn them off if you plan to grow your own hair in Blender.
Thank you. I am using 4.23.0.1 - do I need a newer build for this to work? The viewport tesselation of the hair I tried already is set to 0.
Did something change in the export mechanism in recent versions? There are some older videos around (using an earlier version of Daz to Blender) that seem to show this as working, but maybe I misunderstand something.
Give the beta a try. 4.23.0.4 is, if I'm remembering correctly, the only version of DS I've seen that can do this.
If all else fails, export just the hair as an OBJ and merge that into Blender.
diffeomorphic says it can import different types of hair and convert
