Issues with the re-loading of past scenes

Hello to all,

So I really don't know how to classify the issue that I'm having other than what I posted as a title. My apologies in advance if this question was asked already.

I've been having a problem where let's say I've completed a scene, saved it and went to delete. When I load something new into that same scene, it would load... but first it would show what I previously worked on before loading the new material. Like, let's say I was working on a clown model. If I delete that model, try to load whole new model then that clown model I just previously worked on would reappear on my screen for no more than two or three seconds before my new model loading.

My questions I have is is this normal? Could there memory problems? I'm on a new PC so I doubt it's my hardware and this has been going on since I was on a gaming laptop. I just simply ignored it. Any idea what could be causing this?

Most likely it seems a sort of RAM purging issue. What's your DS version ?

Locate the product: Default Resources in Smart Content, in Utilities, there's a script: Purge Memory. Then, do this test: 1) Delete that Clown model; 2) Run this Purge Memory script; 3) Load a another model.

    See what will happen.

This probably isn't a big deal. For some operations, like loading a scene, Studio locks the viewport so it doesn't waste effort recalculating and redrawing everything with every step of the process. Sometimes, the saved version of the viewport it shows while locked is from a little while before the current state of the scene.

Thanks, I'll try that. I have the latest version BTW.

Yea, I could just be overcautious but I had to ask.
