Issue with Dforce Companion 2

edited December 6 in Daz Studio Discussion

I sometimes get weird things happening with this either using timeline or simulate from memorized pose. I'll position the model in front of the chair I want her sitting on, standing in the default pose facing away from the chair, then go to Edit>Figure>Memoroze>Memorize pose... then save. Then pose the model in the chair. Then use Dforce Companion 2 to simulate from memorized pose. Sometimes this works as I think it should, other times it reorientates the model either by turning her on the spot or by moving her away from the memorized posed position. I am also seeing this now using time line, where I set the model in the default  position on frame 0, and the desired seated position on frame 30, but then, rather than move the model backwards and seat her, it will twist her position first and put her through some odd contortions before moving her into the correct seated position... or not move her into the correct position at all. There are no keyframes apart from 0 and 30. Any idea why Dforce Companion might be doing this?

  • Dforce companion isn't the issue, it's the IK(Inverse Kinematics) engine doing this.

AFAIK, the only way to overcome this issue, is to add keyframes and manually correct any issues that arise, such as the rotation.

  • Poop. Well, ty for the info. I'll have to wrestle it into submission.
