What is it that you mentioned？
The newest Daz Studio version is 4.23.0.1 - there are a few later versions listed in the Change Log under private betas, but they have not been moved to the Public beta yet (lots of new stuff, so it may be a while before they do get a public airing). 4.7.x.x is ancient, however - I'm not sure if it was the first with Iray or the last without (but I suspect the latter).
4.8 was the first with Iray
