Aux Viewport IPR Tabs Not Working

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I can't preview anything in aux viewport. The IPR tabs aren't highlighted anymore (see below). Any assistance offered would be appreciated.

    that only works when you have the render engne set to 3Delight on the Render Settings pane as far as I know. I don't think it works at all with iray.
