MMX Fancy Hair Color Shaders for Iray - Card or Strand?

I was unsure if the shaders in "MMX Fancy Hair Color Shaders for Iray" would work on both card based and strand based hair?  I really love the color blends, and the fact that it has horizontal and vertical options, but I have a huge mix of hair types and some I'm not even sure what they are XD Has anyone tried them on both?

I tried it on dForce FE Edgy Short Hair which is a strand hair and you have to go the bottom of the files in Smart Content where the 'Apply First' is located, then select your hair color choice and it seems to work. I then tried it on an older non-strand hair, Ardamir Hair for G9 and repeated the steps and it worked on it too, maybe better. I went for an older G3F hair, Selena Hair which easily auto-fit on Victoria 9 and it worked quite nicely.

I am certainly no expert, but this shader was released after Omni and curves were and MattyMax doesn't appear to give a restriction.

Edit to add: I just tried dForce Kunoichi Hair and it did not work on it. The default hair stayed pink. So might not be curve/strand compatible. Not sure what I did on the first hair vs this one different.

These are shader presets so it may depend on which shader its based on.

memcneil70scorpio I am SOOO sorry I didn't come right back to this thread, I don't think I ever got any notifications about it!  So it seems that it is kind of up in the air what this product will work with.  I think I'll give it a try the next time it's on a really good sale, and if it doesn't work on all, at least it should work on some.  Thank you so much for your input!!!!
