Yikes! The Horror! 4.23
Okay! Here we go! I've always used Poser so when I downloaded Daz Studio it was a big change for me. I was using version 4.22 and getting the hang of it and apperently I had the updates set to automatically update and now I have running 4.23. Whoa! Pulling my own teeth out would be easier than trying to figure this out. I can't use JPEG as a background, its blurry, very big and pixelated, when I try to load a scene and render it, it takes forever. I can clean my whole house and it still won't be done. I don't think my graphic card can handle the update, so I went to uninstal 4.23 and I reinstalled 4.22 version and it was like someone was controlling my computer, that darn Daz Studio 4.23 just kept reinstalling, I felt like I was in a horror movie. I even went as far as to delete Daz install management 1.4.1.6 and it kept popping up with the list of iteams to be installed and sure enough, 4.23 right there, mocking me. How do I get rid of it? and how can I reinstall 4.22? I was really enjoying the other version, maybe its time to go back to using Poser if I can't figuar this out.

It should work if you still own DS 4.22 installation package.
You firstly uninstall DS 4.23, delete IM package of DS 4.23 (IM00013176-02_DAZStudio422Win64bit.zip) in DIM, copy IM package of DS 4.22 (IM00013176-02_DAZStudio422Win64bit.zip) into Download Archive folder, refresh in DIM > Ready to Install tab. You should see DS 4.22 package, then install it.
Edit: If you still want to try with DS 4.23, install a DS Public Build of 4.23.0.4 ~~ I know DS 4.23 still has some bugs / low performance / functions to be improved, etc.... So, as a good practice, I just keep 4..22 General Release + 4.23 Public Build.
As a duo-versions user for a long time, I personally really don't suggest install DS 4.23 General Release. Better always install latest Public Build firstly.
The render taking that much longer sounds like the Render not using the GPU and falling back to CPU rendering which will always take way longer. That often means a driver update although depending on the graphics card you have it might be that it's old enough to still be supported.
Older versions of Daz Studio are not available and so if you feel you might need to roll back you would have had to copy the install zip to a separate location as a backup. If you did that then you can copy it back into DIM's download folder to re-install. If you have not already saved a local copy of an earlier version then it is only possible to download the latest version.
I'm not someone who has had issues with 4.23 but there are some that have so if you are able to provide more info about your graphics card, driver version and the issues you are having with 4.23 then someone will hopefully be able to help you out.
You need to be working offline, otherwise it will show the download for the current version and not the older version.
Yea, that's right ~ common sense, isn't it ?
