I'm experiencing strange dForce Bug

Suddenly a cloth not doing dforce anymore.
The simulation properties in the surface pane of the fabric also down to 4 item only.
This can be fixed easily by adding dynamic dforce again.
But now the dforce seems to behave oddly not like before.
My cloth messes up.
Even surface that has dynamic strength of 0 still change shape.
As if the calculation messes up.

I have to reload previous file, and redoo the scene.
I simulate and it works fine.

Why this happens?

Anw is there a way to make fabric has distance between fabrics when simulated?

Select the item and in the Parameters pane, under Simulation, make sure that Simulation Object Type is set to Dynamic Surface rather than Static Surface - I think you will find that that is the issue. If you Zero the object it will set the simulation type to Static Surface.

Firstly, always use Restore option if you frequently Zero the dForce wearables or lock Simulation Object Type properties in Parameters pane... so as to avoid unexpected issues as Richard mentioned.

Then, Collision Layers and Collision Offset dominantly control the "distance" with behavior of collision in Simulation. But in most of the cases, we suggest firstly keep reasonable distance in between garment to Body, garment to garment... when making them, e.g. in MD, tweak Skin Offset / Thickness Collision, etc.
