Everytime I fold a fabric, it always like there's air cushion between layer. Is it possible to make it really thin, like a silk?

Yes, there's even a silk preset that comes in the fabric section. You can play around with a huge amount of parameters, maybe start with looking at particle distance and collision distance once you have it pretty close to how you want.

Well, better post a screenshot of how the pattern(s) look like if possible... so that we may give more solid suggestions. But you may 1stly try tweaking:
1) If there is internal line on the fold (no matter one or two...), tweak Fold Strength and Fold Angle.
2) If there's no internal lines used on the fold, just reduce Shrinkage Weft properly. Remember to use Pins wisely at the same time. (ss1~2)
