How to put little logo/signs in clothing.

Hi. I'm doing some renders about an school, and would like to know how to put little school logos or signs in uniforms. Not big ones, but little as logos in shirts shoulders or short pants legs, like the ones that tell police we were from that school, far earlier of the end of day, (he, he).

I'm quite sure there is an application for this, but not able to find it. After all, I'm a perpetual beginner...

Thank you.

If you already have a logo image, the free and simplest way is just place the logo to the position you want on the texture map in Base Color slot of the Uniform's surface, by using an Image Editor like GIMP.  Then replace the existing map with the modified one. And / or use Diffuse Overlay to make more subtle change.

There're also a bit complex ways by using other applications like Blender, Substance Painter, etc. to make more texture maps to have better results... but that'll depend on your need and skills.

You could also use Layered Image Editor to add the logo. It won't be permanent like editing the texture map and is a little clunky to use, but does the trick for one-off scenes.

Just click the texture image under "diffuse" and select "layered image editor." Then click the + and select "add image layer." Browse for your image to add it. Then you need to adjust the position and/or scale with the controls at the bottom. When done, hit accept. You may need to go back in to adjust position once you see how it looks in the scene.

Other options is to put it in Diffuse overlay (requires a mask), or add it as a decal.

As long as it doesn't need to wrap around a marked curve I would say a Decal is the simplest option, depending on how your mind works.
