After a four-year absence, Iray doesn't work for me any more

Internet at our island home was dog slow and I've had a lot of other RL concerns to address. We got high speed Internet last month, and last week I fired up DS after updating it. Now I can't get an Iray view or an Iray render, although my computer rig hasn't changed. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks in advance,

Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date .. latest iray versions will need the latest gpu drivers .. if you've not had much internet then it's possible you've let them slip ..
Thanks, Rauko.
Bloody hell, it seems I'll have to update my system from Win7 to Win10—I've been holding out because of all the trashware—since there are no legacy drivers available.
It was probably a mistake to update my DS installation, but there you go. What's done is done.
If you need GPU iRay (rather than CPU rendering) on Windows 7, it now seems that DAZ Studio 4.21.05 is as far as graphics cards iRay rendering can go. 4.21.05 gets you to using iRay 2021.1.6 rather than iRay 2022 or higher, though.
Yes, I have a pair of Nvidia 1080 GTXs, one a TI. Both need upgrading if I want to do any heavy duty rendering, so it seems I'll have to bite the bullet at some point.
Thanks, Martrilla
I have a 1080ti and a titanX that happily work together in 10.

My dual xeon with 64g rig refuses to upgrade to 10 ... and while the 10 I have is faster in some ways.. it's only 32g
It sounds like you upgraded daz to 4.23 without knowing it won't iray with win7?
Do you have a back up copy of your older daz folder somewhere? even with the new one installed you should still be able to launch the old one from the backup drive
