Can we use AMD GPU for posing and simulation, and NVIDIA GPU for rendering?

So instead of spending money on the latest and the greatest of NVIDIA card, I can still speed my workflow in posing and simulation with AMD card instead

    dForce is based on OpenCL drivers so any GPU or CPU will do, as far as it gets OpenCL drivers. You can select the device to use in the dForce options.

    simulation settings > advanced > opencl device
