Clothes

Hello everyone,

My name is Julie , I'm French (so sorry for the misspelling) and new with Daz !
I started making some characters, but now I wanted to make a hockey player but with genesis 9 .. and there is nothing in the store .. so how can I make my own hockey jersey ? Can I just pick a simple shirt in the store and shape it with another app like blender or photoshop or in Daz directly ?

Thank you for your help

Julie

There's a set : Hockey Player M4 Bundle https://www.daz3d.com/hockey-player-m4-bundle They're for M4 but you can AutoFit them to Genesis figures.

Certainly, you can reshape some similar products / retouch the texture maps in Blender / Ps or other applications, or even make new ones in some easy-to-use software, e.g. Marvelous Designer.

    thank you !
autofit ? What do you mean ? But the render looks with M4 won't be as pretty as a dforce genesis clothes ?
I tried marvelous designer , but besides the fact that it' s a monthly budget not very cheap, I didn't succeed to fit the clothes to my character.. I did make a jersey with marvelous designer but never succeeded in making it look good on the character.. it was weird , like the jersey was floating ..

Well, firstly learn what is Auto Fit https://youtu.be/0D8TZw4MrWg?si=v-R0hKGPXlgHBQo_

With Marvelous Designer, you better make garment on Genesis Base figure, then when you rig it with default settings in Transfer Utility, the garment won't "float".

thank you so much ! I watched it so I'm' going to try with the M4 clothes .. can you just tell me how i sent the clothes to Photoshop ? I want to add a logo I made on it but I can't find how to send the jersey .. i looked at many videos on YouTube but can't find how to do that ! It's frustrating

It should be simple. You can just use texture map in Diffuse or Base Color slot of the clothing (in Surfaces pane) as a base template. Open texture map in Ps, place your logo image to the right position then save a new image. Put it into the same slot in DS.

Or you can just save the positioned logo as a PNG and place it into Layered Image Editor, on top of the existing texture map(s).

On G9... ? Well, you either create a M4 Clone for G9... or reshape the shirt by using modeling / sculpting application, then re-rig it to G9.

This tool allows you to easily create a Michael 4 clone for Genesis 9.
This is a script to convert the V4/M4/K4 clone included in Genesis (G1) to Genesis 9.
