"info" of an item

Hello. Is it possible to check what product a given item of clothing comes from? Is there a way to check the "info" of an item? Because I was looking for pants with a suitably high waist in library, I found one, but the name is "pants", which doesn't tell me much, especially since I changed the material, so when browsing products I probably won't locate them by appearance >.<

or have to start over? xd

For the products from this store that you installed in DIM ? Yes. Right-click on the file, Show Asset in > Content Library > Products. Then right-click on the product > Edit Metadata, you'll see all product info.

Besids, right-click on the product  > More Information..., it'll bring you to the product wiki page > product page.

For the 3rd-party product, go to the mapped folder, you at least can get the product name from its upper-level folder.

  • I worded it poorly. I uploaded a character with a shirt I like, and added all the pants one by one, and finally chose one, but all I know is that the name is "pants". And how do I jump from the clothes in "scene" to the folder with that clothes, or check some information to narrow down the search in library?

i was chekking difrent panes, but there is nothing, in adjustment of pants only FBMExpandAll <--- dont help at all.

If the pants have geometry data (DSF file), you can check its Scene ID firstly via Edit > Figure > Scene Identification... In Scene ID field, you might find some clues.

Or open Parameter Settings on FBMExpandAll property, check Asset info. in File Path field. ...

If you can find some useful keywords related to the product name, then search keyword in Smart Content or Content Library.

I don't know if MikeD's MD List of Products Used will do what you want to do or not but you can take a look at its store page at https://www.daz3d.com/md-list-of-products-used.  MikeD has a 10-minute video about the product on the store page. If you're interested in it, put it on your wishlist and wait until it is on sale; I got MD List of Products Used for less than $10 last year.

Sometimes you can click on the item in your scene pane then look at Smart Content. If Filter by Context is checked, you'll get a reduced number of choices and you can click Materials or Wardrobe and the product may show up there (probably without anything else) since the filter is on. That is the first thing I try when I have a vaugely-named product. It doesn't always work but it has helped me more ofthen than not.
