Here's a photo. The cloth I used is dForce Sheer Chiffon Shawl for Gen 8 with knitted texture on Gen 9.
I tried to change simulation settings and it doesn't make a difference. Are there other options I don't know?

In such case, better check the option Start Bones From Memorized Pose before Simulation, or use Timeline play range to simulation.
Sorry for not responding as I posted this and went to bed. I did with memorised pose and timeline play range just like this. I just start to notice that cloth is sticking to another. I turned off smoothing and switched collsion item to none. it doesn't make difference
Well, I found it worked with no issue... You mirrored the dress and auto fitted on G9, correct ? Have you made any change with the settings on dynamic surfaces ?
I made nothing change... just simulated with default settings. Check this short video: https://mega.nz/file/HWRShZSK#72VD-gC0z3CPWZOfqS-skEuYPS7XZ-KS-0LnGRsOm3w
I decided to give it another experiment with different pose and it turned out to be fine. think one of poses I used yesterday was too difficult to fix as cloth are too close to another I guess.
