Render Throttle for DAZ Studio slower ?

I tried Render Throttle  to see if it's faster,   but it took 2x as long then doing it with Iray.

What makes the program so special?   Looking at their Wiki site, it looks like it's from 2011..  Unless I'm missing something here.

Render Throttle is designed for 3delight when using Uberenvironment, which gives nice results but is rather slow.

To a considerable extent you can achieve the same using different Render preset settings to make a smaller image or use lower quality settings.
