The PostgreSQL based Content Management Service (CMS) used by Daz Studio 4. no longer works

it has been working since I installed the update to 4.9 but yesterday it no longer will connect. Get a PostgreSQL error, it can not connect check your antivirus or firewall I use avast which should have no issues and windows 10 firewall. Nothing has changed so I don't know why its working. Tried to reinstall through content manager but it failed. How can I get it to work and get my smart content back. It had all ready migrated my database been using it since I updated for weeks.

    I meant not working and my smart content was working as well it connected to the online database every time I loaded DS 4.9 until yesterday.

    So weird I start up Daz a few minutes ago and lo and behold all of a sudden my connect is working and I see a 20.00 off where the store items are for buying some items in the past from RDNA. well what do you know. Wonder if this merger had anything to do with my lack of connect. RDNA is from my area of town. not saying its the reason but that was weird.

    The only time I have had an issue (WIn 7, but using Avast like you) with the CMS/smart content is 'ships passing in the night' where I, in effect, cycled DS and the database was caught in the middle as it was closing from the shut of DS and still in the process of closing when DS re-started.

    Funny the cms connect worked for the store, but I still have no smart content. What can I do to get it back?

    Do you see anything in the Content Library pane under Categories, even empty categories?

    I have been having this issue too. I usually close the program sometimes three or four times, then it connects fine. As far as the smart content, you can try bd maintenace and reload it, sometimes that works.

    Mine has been buggy since upgrading to 4.9. Used to be stable but it stops working and I must restart it for some bizarro reason.
