reinstalling daz always has trouble finding my files

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

i just redownloaded 50 gigs of data to my pc from my daz  it always wants to take files from my main hard drive and not the one i keep asigning it to it is there anyway i can make this easyer i do this all the time  it takes forever just to finally  see it but never to even show the preview of the files anymore what is the deal?

    Try re-importing your metadata after you assign the folder to DS.

    Is DIM not installing things where you want them, or is DS not looking for them in the right place?

    Not looking in the right place I have to keep making a new area for it to look but it doesn't stick and then I have to keep going to it each time.I load

    Please post screenshots of your Content Directory Manager (Edit>Preferencs>Content Library tab>Conect Directory Manager) showing all of your current content paths and of your Install Manager installation paths (Preferences, the gear icon at top-right, Installation tab).

    here is my prefs it shows my  content data is in the right hard drive but cant find  find it when i click on a nything  in the second after going to a item and clicken it installed it says it doesnt exisit

    i cant keep anything on my main hd due to it being a sold state and only 100 gigs and so small after  everything that  should be installed being the  os and stuff installed i only have 30 gigs of space

    How and where are these items installed?

     they are installed in a filder in  e drive in Daz studio folder on that and it even shows under  meta data on there

    The screenshot of your Content Directory Manager settings shows only Connect-installed items on E:, the other paths are all on C:.

    i pulled out an old drive and used it with a new os for only daz thought it was less of a head ache it still did the same thing even with i change dthe dirrectory to e on both the other ones and still same thing

    Did you re-import metadata after changing the content locations?
