Is it possible to render a small region of the current render?

Hello there,

Does anyone happen to know if it's possible to render a small portion of the existing render?

For example, I do a render but made a small changes in the hair and need to re-render that region of the of the image containing the part of the head/hair by tracing a rectangular marquee?

use the spot render tool from the menu. There's an option somewhere to render it to a new window where you can then save it and merge that with your original render in a photo editor.
