Custom Rigging: "Grouped bone poses"? Translating bone positions?
Hello, two questions;
1. I'm currently rigging an entire model from scratch, and have all the bones in place, weighted, bulge mapped etc. Phew! Now i'm trying to figure out how to create sets of sliders, like Genesis figures have, which allow you to move several bones at once into preset poses, such as a clenched fist, karate chop, curling tail, etc. Anyone here know about that sort of thing? I don't mind links to tutorials instead ;)
2. I notice none of the bones can be "moved" - they can be scaled and rotated, but not moved around. I'd like this mainly because I have a mouth section that I want to extend via moving a bone along it's Z axis, but since the bones only have rotation and scale I can't do so; i'm hoping the translation values are simply hidden and there's a way to either show / add them without re-rigging everything.
Thanks!

(thanks Josh darling,,)
About 2,,
which weight map you used for rigging? if the mouse section are connected with other mesh,, you can not achieve smooth transition. about
triax weight map figure. there seems no way. but if the mouse section is clear separated from other mesh,, and you color weight correctly,,it work.
(check genesis2female eye, weight map etc,)
As you said,, translation is hidden parameter as default,.. then you need to "show hidden parameter" in parametr tab> option.
and may need change iimits of parameters, and unlocked by parameter setting, too..
I remember,, translation parameters, usually limit from zero to zero . then unlock and remove limit, or make new limit for translation more reasonable values,
you can translate . (though currently I seldom try triax weight rigging, then not clear remember,, how it work)
Thanks a lot for that video, exactly what I needed. ;)
As for the TriAx stuff, I don't honestly know... I think it is TriAx, since that was the default, though i'm not really bothered about it being "smooth" since most of what extends isn't visible anyway, just the end of it. I'll have a play around with it!
