strange OpenGL Error - not enough RAM - DAZ Studio 4.9

I get strange OpenGL error in DAZ Studio 4.9 while adding Figures or items. Log say OpenGL error, not enough RAM.

But I have 24GB RAM and only 43% are actually in use, so there are more than 12GB free RAM and there should no "not enough RAM" error.

So where is the Problem?

How much memory does your video card have? That will be the crucial factor.

    It`s a NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 88M with 8GB

What is the exact error, and how many items and materials have you loaded?

This is the error message from the log. The Forum don`t let me post the full error message (because it is to long), the first sentence "OpenGL Error..." is replayed a few hundered times)

"OpenGL Error encountered. Method: DzVBOPack::bindVBOs. File: opengl\dzvbopack.cpp Line: 195 Error code: 1285. Error message: Nicht genügend Arbeitsspeicher

    --------------- DAZ Studio 4.9.1.30 exited ------------------"

Added is a screenshot (with the Scene list that shows what is in the scene). When I add the last Figure (and there it makes no difference ift I load Amanda or any othe Figure; even a small prop causes the sme effect) the whole workspace turns white (like in the screenshot). When this happens I can`t selct anything withinin the scene tab (it is like only the Viewspace and the Scene Tab freezes... any other Tab and Program works fine. I evan can start a graphic program (like Photoshop) and work with it, so there must be RAM available (and like the first screenshot above shows, only around 40% RAM are in use.

Does it happen with a different scene, not using those props? What are your settings for Display Optimisation in Edit>Preferences>Interface tab? Does changing the option help?

I didn`t test it in a similar big scene (in DAZ Studio 4.9).

But with DAZ Studio 4.5 till 4.9 Beta it works wich similar big scenes, with 5 Genesis2 Figurers, Buildings, multiple metal objects with reflections, and Shaders added, and there I only had a Graphic Card with 4GB Ram and 4GB preinstalled RAM (RAM Stick).

    Screenshot for Display added.

I made a few quick tests and find out that when ever DAZ Sudio 4.9 reaches around 6300MB (in the Task Manager) the Viewport freezes and than goes white.

Try one of the other settings for Display Optimisation, though I'm not sure it will help.

Looks like you are running out of memory....for the video card.  Between 1 and 2 GB of video memory can be consumed by the OS for display purposes.

Is the Nvidia the only card available or can you use onboard video and the Nvidia card?

Onboard is an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600.

But I don`t know how much RAM it provides and how to conect them.

It is a bit boring if it doesn`t work because of the graphic cards RAM. Everyone told me that I`m unable to do the bigger scenes because I have only 4GB RAM installed (or later 8GB) and that I have to put in additional RAM to create bigger scenes. So I upgrade to 24GB and my scenes stuck exactly at the same point the stop before... that`s like throwing 90 Bucks out of the window.

    EDIT:

Right at the moment I see that DAZ Studio seems to use the Intel HD Graphic 4600 instead of the NVIDIA Graphic Card (or booth)... (see screenshot).

How can I manage that DAZ Studio uses booth?
