Having Trouble with Content (Honyu's Cowgirl 3 Jeans)
I have a lot of content, and most if it seems to be working, except for one very strange exception -- Honyu's Cowgirl 3 Jeans.
The outfit jacket and shirt work fine, and the jeans look perfect (beautiful work, Hongyu :) ) but do not respond to the custom parameter dials: adjustments or movement. The dials do nothing. The best I can do is go directly to pelvis/etc in the object and scale -- that changes the look (scale parameter DOES work), but very obviously deforms the jeans in ways that just won't work.
I am an longtime amateur user of Daz with nearly 1000 products installed, Sometimes I get strange results, but I have not had this happen in my recollection before. I am concerned that there may be other content that is also broken that I will stumble across randomly.
I have Daz 64-bit latest installed (by the way, getting a LOT of "duplicate formula" errors since the most recent update, not sure if it's related because I'm not getting it when I load Cowgirl 3, but all other content still works). My content is installed to a custom path on a drive that has a lot of free space. I have loaded against multiple G3-based figures including V7, uninstalled, deleted, and re-downloaded/reinstalled Cowgirl 3. Nothing has worked.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
By the way, I'd like to give a shout out to Stonemason, Sickleyield, Hongyu, P3D and all the fantastic artists here... this is an amazing place to focus my hobbies :)
[Sorry if this is a repeat -- I searched the forums for about an hour and didn't find an answer]
Thank you for any help! -- Icarus

Well i can't directly speak to the G3F version, only have the v4 and g1 versions.
So i can just give you a couple suggestions to check to see if a ticket regarding broken content may be in order.
1. Are you using the full outfit load(if it has one), or loading the parts individually?
If loading the full outfit, try loading just the jeans themselves, sometimes there is a glitch with the full outfit preset.
2. Click on the Gear icon to the right of the parameter dial you're checking and see if there is anything listed under the Sub-Components section.
If there's not it usually means either the dial is just there for reference and doesn't actually do anything. It's a hold over from old content creation for poser that sometimes gets migrated to daz content.
In this case you'll need to check the individual parts, hip, pelvis etc and adjust there.
If there are no visible dials in those areas that match the parent dial, adjustment for instance, then you may need to turn on "Show hidden" from the menu popout. Either click on the Options menu button, or right click on the particular tab you are working with and select "Show hidden".
If there's still nothing that equates to the particular dial, then it's more than likely broken content, and you may want to submit a ticket regarding it.
I'd be a bit hesitant on that last one due to the "duplicate formula" problem you're having regardless if this product throws that error or not.
Duplicate formula errors, usually have to do with 'older' content, genesis 1 stuff mostly, and those are generally only present in the DSF versions of the files, DUF files i've rarely run into that error.
You may want to consider re installing/updating your G3f, and other base figures, somtimes that solves the Duplicate formula error.
Also there is a script available in the forums that can solve those duplicate formula errors.

Awesome information, thanks! I'll check out the Gear icon and see if there are sub-components. I have already tried loading each item separately, both fitting to different figures and by themselves, to no avail.
Really appreciate your chiming in. I'll post the results when I have them.
Cheers!
You nailed it. No sub components on any of the parameters. Strange that the store page would advertise multiple parameters for the Jeans but then not supply the components. Since the Jacket and Shirt parts of the outfit DO work, I'm going to assume this is an problem with the product. This is worth a ticket, I think, just in case the components are missing by mistake (which they sure seem to be).
Thanks again for your help in clearing up the mystery, and for your help with the duplicate ids/formulae :)
