Render animation in DAZ Studio 4.9

How do you render an animation in DAZ Studio 4.9? I've viewed tutorials from earlier versions that show a different dialog box when opening Render Settings. When I open Render settings in DS 4.9 I don't see any options for video rendering. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance,

Eric

@Dazaddit  No one can help.  The iRay engine now used, which I came here for specifically, is not as bruteforce as the Maxwell Renderer, but might as well be for the average Joe without a render farm.  What Daz 3D should now sell is render farm time.  They'd make a killing.  Servers are cheap for corporations, they get tax writeoffs and stuff for equip like that, so the cost to them is effectively zero.

I have a specific question about rendering in Daz:  I took a genesis 2 female as a test to iClone for lipsyncing through 3DXchange and noticed she doesn't have the facial bones necessary to be lip sync'd, am I missing something?  I ass_u_me it's because the genesis 2's doesn't have that ability.  What models do?  I did effectively export and import back to Daz the motionplus data, so it's like mofo!?  Again some female just won't listen.  I can't even figure out how to search for it, yet.  Forums should have an index.  To me, it's a library of books rippled apart and thrown randomly onto a floor all together in a jumbled mess.

Hmmm, it looks like I missed an export rule and adding a .duf facial key thingie too.  I'm still looking for a morphable face to make the actor look more like the subject I want to use...

I found rendering animation in 3delight is way faster than in Iray. its takes a little practice but with a little patience and tweaking 3delight can products some pretty decent results.

It took me 3 months to render this film in 3delight using daz studio4.8 and than 4.9 for the last 4 scenes. Daz is not perfect for animation. but for a hobbyist  it fits the bill for what I am looking for to tell my stories.

  • That is an incredible animation.  I'm blown away by the quality of the production as well as the story line.  I'd love to see any other work you've done.

  • Nice animation there, you did really well.. and 3months render time..whew! thats lots of patience. Kudos

  • Yes that animation by Ivy is rather amazing. Such a lot of work.
