GenX2

Hello, I installed GenX2 on my Daz 4.9 and in the warning tab it says:

No source figure definitions found

No target figure definitions found.

Also I can't drag V4 on the tab because there is a forbidden sign.

What should I do?

Thanks a lot,

Waiting for your replies,

Alex.

    a) don't bump, this is a forum not a chat room

    b) there's a dedicated thread on genX 2here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/38334/new-release-genesis-generation-x2-upgrade-ends-soon-commercial#latest

  • Hi,

this doesn't help me. I already saw on the forums http://direct.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/73122/genesis-generation-x2-and-ds-4-9

Someone had the same problem than me but he was using daz beta

Then I remembered that I was using the Public Beta, I switch back to the regular 4.9 and it worked!

I don't know if this is still an issue w/ GenX2, but does this folder exist (if you're on Windows): C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\GenX2 for the same user that you're running Daz Studio from? If you have the folder, but it's in another user's appdata, move it to your own.

If you have just made the update to DAZ Studio 4.9, probably your GenX2 serial number got lost.

In DAZ Studio just take a look at the menu Help and the entry About Installed Plugins. Maybe you have to enter your serial number again.

  • Thank you for your replied Vaskania and MN-150374,

Yes I have this folder in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\DAZ 3D\Studio4\GenX2

And yes I have put the serial number

Thats weird. If GenX2 is installed and activated it should look like this:

Did you install the GenX2-PlugIn for the first time? Or did it work with DAZ Studio 4.8 before?

Did you install via DIM or Manual? I had sometimes problems to install PlugIns via DIM. Since than I prefer the Manual Installation Process for PlugIns.

If you did via DIM, you could try a manual installation also. Just go to your Product Library and download the .exe-file for manual installation

  • Hi MN-150374,

Thank you for your reply, I still havent found the solution. It's the first time I install GenX2,

Yes I even tried to install it manually and my plugin manager window is the same as yours.

Maybe it would help you to figure out what's the problem if I tell you: the Source, Load Figure and Apply Pose button in Genx >Transfert is dark grey and I can't click on it.

I saw a tutorial on youtube and those buttons are normal, i don't know why...

    Thank you,

    Waiting for your reply,

Hi Poseralex96, sadly I don´t know why GenX is refusing to work for you. If you get the GenX-Tab it seems to be installed correctly. And if it is activated the Buttons should not be greyed out.

The best advice I can give is to contact the vendor Dimension3D via PM: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/profile/86407/Dimension3D

Or post your problem in the official GenX Discussion: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/24079/genx2-and-genesis-2-addon-released-upgrade-ends-soon-commercial/p1

Maybe someone else had similar problems and knows about a solution.

The problem was mentioned there also: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/855528/#Comment_855528

But the solution was suggested by Vaskania in the post above. So if you have the correct folder on your harddrive/userprofile, I am running out of ideas ...
