DS 4.5 crashing when opening scene

I am running DS 4.5, 64 on Mac and two related scenes containing similar content are causing it to crash whenever I try to open them. Other scenes seem to be OK. These were both opening fine recently. In a previous post it was shown you could remove part of the file format, but that was on PC and I cannot get at/know where to find that on mac.

Done a bit more experimenting and any scene with 3 or more characters and a moderately detailed set is crashing on opening; similar scenes on the previous version of DS had no problems.
