Having problems with Face Rigging

BrahannBrahann Posts: 18

Ok I'm new to DS, Have spent a long time in the poser world and I'm one of those awful RDNA bods :D

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a solution to a problem I'm having rigging a zbrush face morph. basically the morph applies fine and I can easily get the adjust rigging to shape and ERC freeze working beautifully... then the problem begins. NO matter how I try the morph exports minus the new rigging. the geometry is perfect but the bones just will not move.

Anyone got any ideas to help this poor floudering newby

Oh and I'm using 4.9

    For which figure?

    That should work - after doing the ERC Freeze find your morph in the Property hierarchy (with the Parameters pane in Edit mode you can do that via a right-click on the morph), expand the sections to get to the controlled morphs (should be under Sub-Components>1st Satge) and make sure that in the options they are set to save with your morph, not the controlled properties.

    Pretty sure thats what I'm doing. The morph is under

    Shaping->Head->People-.>Real World

    and that is where I'm saving it using

    File->Save As->Shaping Preset

    Enter Filename

    Save options dialog

    Animations range -> Current Frame

    Properties -> Select only active dial

    Hit Accept

    Ah, that's not the same as saving as a moprh asset - File>Save as>Support Assets>Morph Asset. The Author and Product you enter in the dialogue determine where in the Base figure's Data folder (e.g. Data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 3\Female\Moprhs\Author\Product) the asset files are palced and that's the folder you want to include when packing up for distribution (if that's the goal). Once saved as an asset the morph will be available every time the base figure or any character created from it is loaded.
